LetsHost Complete Hosting

Below are some of the more frequent queries we receive regarding our VPS services. Should you require support on our VPS or have any queries on getting a VPS with LetsHost, please contact our support dept.

Q: Do your VPS servers come with a minimum contract?

LetsHost do not impose lengthy contracts on our customers. You can pay monthly for your VPS or you can pay annually (and qualify for a discount). The choice is yours!

Q: Can I upgrade my VPS plan at any time?

Because of the scalability we have built into our VPS platform, you can upgrade your VPS at any time by contacting our support department. No downtime is required.

Q: Do you offer an SLA with your VPS

At this time we do not offer SLAs on our VPS infrastructure. SLAs are reserved for our dedicated hosting clients.

Q: Is my VPS backed up?

LetsHost backup all data on your VPS container at least once daily. We recommend you take your own backups at all times.

Q: Can I reboot my VPS when I want?

Yes! If your VPS goes offline and you have no access, you can use your Parallels Power Panel to reboot your VPS.

Q: Do I need a control panel?

Using a control panel will often help you get the most from your VPS. Some users are more familiar with administering VPS themselves and therefore a control panel is not required. If in doubt, we recommend you opt for cPanel control panel.

Q: Are there any limits to the amount of mail I can send via my VPS?

We do not impose any hourly limits on email sending on our VPS plans.

Q: Can I change the operating system that my VPS is running?

The operating system on your VPS can be changed however this involves a total reimage of your VPS. As such all data on your VPS will be lost. We recommend making a complete backup of all of your data before reimaging your VPS with a different operating system.

Q: Can you create a rDNS record on my VPS IP?

Yes - just let our support staff know the details and we will create your rDNS record.

Q: What can I install on my VPS

You can install anything compatible with the VPS plan you choose. As long as your VPS has the space and memory required to run your application, you can install it.
